Visa Application
- Attendees from most countries will be required to obtain a Chinese visa to enter the People's Republic of China. Attendees can apply for a Chinese visa through a travel agency or directly at the nearest Chinese embassy. In most countries, Chinese visa application will take about 10 business days but it can be longer depending on circumstances. Usually the visa application should be sent in within three months before the travel, in another word, people can NOT apply for a visa earlier than 3 months before arrival in China.
- Usually a business visa is required for attending a conference in China. After you have paid for the conference registration, we can issue you an official visa letter with CAS seal (also called Authorised Notification Form for Visa Applicationto) to assist you to obtain a business visa (type F) to China. In this case please also supply the following information to the conference secretariat (secretariat@lasg.iap.ac.cn) for obtaining a visa letter.

Your Nationality, sex and date of birth
The dates you expect to arrive and depart China
Name of the city where the Chinese embassy/consulate is in the country you dwell.
Most Chinese embassies/consulates accept scanne copy of the visa letter. If you do need an original letter, please send us your postal address as well.
In most circumanstances, we'll use the registered mail to send you the visa letter and it will take about 2 weeks to arrive. You may then use the visa letter to get a visa in the nearest Chinese Embassy/Consulate. We can use FedEx to deliver the visa letter if your request come in after 1 May, 2013 but the fee has to be borne by yourself. Please plan your application and your travel accordingly.
- No visa is required for ordinary passport holders from Singapore, Brunei and Japan to visit China for up to 15 days for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends or transit.
- Please note that due to the large expected number of enquires, we can only reply to visa application queries AFTER you have registered and paid registration fee. General visa information should be obtained from your local China Consulate.
